More info: The core of the work of Coral Gardeners, is focused around coral reef restoration. Using the latest techniques and methods, the team of gardeners grow and plant resilient corals to revive reef ecosystems.

Moorea is a small, triangular volcanic island 20 km west of Tahiti in the Society Islands of French Polynesia.

Corals are formed by multiple small, soft organisms known as polyps. They secrete a rocky chalk-like exoskeleton around themselves for protection. Corals obtain their vibrant colours from the algae living within them. Corals are found in all the world’s oceans but are most prolific in tropical waters
