More info: Arne Nature Reserve is famous for its stunning scenery but it’s also amazing for woodland birds that love to visit the bird feeders. The feeders attract a wide range of species including blue, tit, great tit and coal tit plus regular influxes from goldfinch and greenfinch, robin. Dunnock, blackbird, wood pigeon, house sparrow and siskin. You may also see a nuthatch or great spotted woodpecker arrive to feast on the sunflower hearts.
Arne Nature Reserve is celebrated for its lowland heathland (which is rare in Europe) and its wildlife including Dartford warblers, nightjars, all six species of British reptile, plus many species of butterflies, dragonflies, and moths. It is also home to nearly 500 types of flowering plant.
