More info: Greater Spotted Eagles are found across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and parts of Africa.
Greater spotted eagles are sensitive to disturbance and have a low breeding success. Although two eggs are laid, often only one young fledges. Occasionally the younger chick is eaten by its older sibling, a natural occurrence called cainism. The Greater Spotted Eagle is listed among the species endangered worldwide.
