More info: Leucism is a genetic condition in which parts or all of an animal's body surface lack cells capable of producing any type of pigment. It is similar to albinism however, albinos lack the ability to create melanin, one specific type of pigment. Leucistic individuals usually have normal eye color, whilst albinos, generally have pink eyes.

The red-tailed hawk breeds throughout most of North America, from the interior of Alaska and northern Canada to as far south as Panama and the West Indies.
