The nest is located on an artificial platform in a forest, in north-eastern Poland. The camera was installed in 2020. The original female osprey called "Jedwabna" had a transmitter fitted in 2020. She spent the winter of 2019/2020 in Burkina Faso, Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire. Contact with its transmitter was lost in the fall of 2020. while hiking over the Sahara, where she must have died.
