More info: Ospreys nest throughout Finland and it is estimated there are around 1,100 to 1,300 breeding pairs. They nest in areas with suitable nesting sites and fishing waters, including shores, islets, and islands of water bodies. Ospreys, along with their nests and nesting trees, are legally protected in Finland.
