More Info: Ospreys will nest in a wide variety of locations but their habitat consists of any expanse of shallow water which has a good supply of fish. This can be reservoirs, lakes, rivers, lagoons, swamps and marshes. There needs to be an adequate supply of fish within around 12 miles of the nest.

In North America, more than 80 species of live fresh- and saltwater fish account for 99 percent of the Osprey’s diet.
