More info: RSPB Leighton Moss is not just a paradise for bird watchers, otters can be spotted regularly as well as red deer. The reserve is very accessible, being conveniently located just a 200m walk from Silverdale station.
RSPB Leighton Moss was originally established to protect one of Britain’s rarest and most elusive birds – the bittern – but since its inception in the 1960s, this huge expanse of wetlands and reedbeds has attracted a whole host of wildlife.
