More info: There are approximately 1,750 breeding pairs of peregrine falcons in the UK which is around 20 percent of the European population.
Peregrines mate for life and they return to their nest site each Year. They have adapted readily to urban areas and find buildings such as tower blocks, bridges and cathedrals, offer the perfect alternative to high cliffs, while feral pigeons and starlings provide a reliable source of food.
