Info: Live streaming webcam showing weaver birds nesting in Kenya, East Africa. Weaver birds, or weavers, are small passerine birds recognized for their skill in creating elaborate nests woven from vegetation.
The nests are built hanging at the ends of branches to deter tree climbing snakes.

A large number od weaver species are found in Sub-Saharan Africa with fewer species in tropical Asia and Australia. There are up to 40 weaver species in East Africa.

Weaver birds generally build nests in colonies, for protection. The nest is built by the male as a part of courtship behaviour.
