More info: This is a managed feeding site where animal waste is placed so the visiting feeding birds may be studied and monitored. Birds using the site include red tailed kites, buzzards, storks, magpies, crows, vultures, egrets and more.
Whole animal carcasses received from farms and waste from abattoirs is used. This makes the site appealing both for vultures, which prefer whole carcasses, and other birds such as the black and red varieties of kite, and corvine species such as jackdaws, crows and magpies.
