More info: The bat cam shows one of two roosting areas used by the fruit bats during the day. There are hammocks as well as vines for the bats to cling from as well as roosting curtains to hide behind. A sweet potato kabob and juice bottles are also available. You may see elderly Egyptian fruit bats in the hammocks as well as tiny short-tailed fruit bats which will often be seen hanging in front of the camera. This camera is always in night vision mode.

Bat World Sanctuary was founded in 1994 and is a non-profit organization providing a lifetime sanctuary to bats who have been rescued, orphaned, injured and mis-treated. Each year they rescue hundreds of bats which would otherwise probably perish.
