More Info: Male eastern gray squirrels reach breeding age at 9 to 11 months and females at around 6-8 months. They mate twice a year from December to February and from May to June. Gray squirrels are polygamous, with one male mating with several females. The period of gestation is about 40 to 45 days with litters usually numbering 2 to 6 young.
