More info: The Zambezi National Park is home to 103 species of mammals and 700 species of birds found in Zimbabwe. The northern border of the Park is formed by the great Zambezi River which also forms the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia.
The waterhole in front of the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge frequently attracts elephant, buffalo, kudu, impala, warthog and spotted hyena and sometimes lion and leopard are also sighted there. The number of resident crocodiles at the waterhole varies as they move to and from the nearby Zambezi river.
