More info: The mountain chicken is one of the largest frogs in the world and can reach up to 1kg in weight and live up to 16 years. The species is critically ebdangered after an amphibian fungus epidemic wiped out most of the population.

The mountain chicken frog ia a reddish brown and cream colour. the large drumstick legs have enough power to project the frog enough to clear a standing adult person. They hunt after dusk for insects, land snails, spiders, snakes and anything else that can fit in their mouth to fulfill their voracious appetite.
