In the wild, the range of Jaguars extends from the Southwestern United States across Mexico and much of Central America, the Amazon rainforest and south to Paraguay and northern Argentina.
More info: Jaguars are the third largest cats in the world, after tigers and lions. Males weigh up to 120kg, while the smaller females reach a maximum of 100kg.
Brazil is home to approximately half of the world’s population of jaguars. The rest are found in Mexico and Central and South America, including northern Argentina.
