The sea otter is an aquatic member of the weasel family and is found in the wild on the Pacific Ocean Coasts of North America and Asia.
Sea otters are one of the few mammals which use tools. They are well known for using a rock or stone to break open a hard shelled crustacean, often whilst floating on their backs. They even have a loose patch of skin under their armpit to store both the food they have foraged and their rock to crack it open.
