More info: Pagi was born in 2008 and arrived at Oakland Zoo in 2010. She is the younger sister of Bulan. Pagi is easily recognizable by her completely connected, donut-shaped crest (the "sun" shape on her chest), Bulan was born in 2006 and arrived at Oakland Zoo in 2008, just a couple months before her younger sister Pagi was born. Bulan has a “U” shaped crest that is covered in black spots, resembling freckles

Sun bears are the most arboreal out of all the bear species and very well adapted to life in the trees. They have long curved, extremely sharp claws, which help them to grip tree trunks and branches. The soles of their feet lack hair which gives them extra grip and their small size makes it easier to manouver, climb in the trees as well as balance.

Sun bears sleep in nests which are usually made in the fork of a tree and constructed with branches and twigs. sun bears are nocturnal and rest in their nests in the daytime.
